Project | 01 Georgia's Treasures

Worked as part of a small team at the Georgia Public Library Service to create the award-winning booklet, Georgia's Treasures: Exploring Your Genealogy, History and Culture at Public Libraries, which features archival and special collections materials from ten of Georgia's public libraries.

Project | 02 Flagpole Digitization Project

The Flagpole Digitization Project is an award-winning collaboration between the Digital Library of Georgia, the Athens-Clarke County Public Library, and Flagpole Magazine, and the first workshare newspaper digitization project in Georgia.  I initiated the project and oversaw scanning and metadata creation.

Project | 03 PLPP

Worked with the Digital Library of Georgia to select materials and provide metadata for the Digital Public Library of America's Public Library Partnership  Project. The Athens-Clarke County Library provided about 1,000 unique items, or 1/5 th of the overall items.  The items were scanned, metadata created, and the images and records uploaded to the DLG and funnelled into the DPLA.

Project | 04 Saving Stuff

Sensing the need from our genealogists for better information on the preservation of personal collections, I worked with Natalie Wright, the Athens-Clarke County Library’s Digital Media Librarian, to offer a series of both hands-on and lecture-based workshops called Saving Stuff: Preservation for the Family Historian. The workshop series was accepted as a poster presentation at the 2016 ALA Annual Conference in Orlando, FL.

Project | 05 Public Art Exhibits

I curated, planned, and promoted two major art exhibits and their opening receptions at the Athens-Clarke County Library: Seldom Seen: The Bill and Dorothy Paul Collection of American Art Pottery, featuring a sampling of the Pauls' renowned collection of American art pottery from all over the United States; and Parables of the Land: The Art of Claire and Robert Clements, celebrating the lives and works of the Athens artist-couple.
